Public Access Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) Program
One way to prevent death from sudden cardiac arrest is the use of AEDs. Rittman Emergency Medical Services (EMS) serves as the liaison to business and governmental entities who wish to house AEDs at their locations.
These life-saving devices require minimal training to use but do require a physicians authorization to possess. Rittman EMS would be happy to assist you with this process.
Sudden cardiac arrest accounts for an estimated 325,000 deaths annually in the U.S.…
Rittman Emergency Medical Services (EMS) offers American Heart Association® CPR classes. We try to offer at least one class per quarter. If you or your organization would like to set up a class or register for an upcoming class, please call the station or submit your contact information via email to Keith Williams.
Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection
According to one Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) study, nearly 72% of car seats are installed incorrectly or are misused. The use of age appropriate-and size appropriate-car and booster seats can greatly reduce serious and fatal injuries by more than half.
Learn more about child passenger seat safety.
You can make sure your car seat is installed properly by scheduling an appointment with one of our certified child passenger safety seat technicians through our contact form.

Fill The Pill
What if you have an emergency and cannot speak?
Rittman Emergency Medical Services (EMS) has adopted the Fill-The-Pill program to provide emergency responders with the necessary information "to save a life…".
Fill-The-Pill utilizes a magnetic pouch to hold your Emergency Medical Information Sheet (PDF). This pouch is then stored on your refrigerator door for access by our emergency responders.
Please make sure your medication lists are current. If you need assistance filling out the emergency medical form, please contact Emergency Medical Services.
